Specialized Genetic/Molecular Testing

With over 90% of health decisions based on diagnostic results, we are committed to being a trusted healthcare partner.

What We Do?

In Nigeria, Link Labs Genetics/Molecular Unit is at the forefront of clinical genetic testing and personalized medicine. The unit collaborates with partner agencies, healthcare providers, and top laboratories worldwide to find the most practical, affordable, and clinically useful means of bringing genetic and molecular advancements to Nigerians.
All of the genetic tests we provide come with local currency payment, assistance with national funding applications (where needed), and processing of kits, samples, and reports in accordance with international health standards. Link Labs makes it simple for Nigerians to receive genetic testing, whether through one of our regional collection locations or via a self-collection kit (where appropriate).

Testing

Genetic/Molecular testing can be useful at different stages of life, like discovering that a family member has a condition that can be passed down or struggling to find treatment.

Numerous situations, including periods of transition, difficulty, and decision-making, might benefit from genetic testing.
• A test for the sexual health panel that detects and identifies over 15 viruses, bacteria, and parasites that cause STDs is a multiplex one-step real-time RT PCR assay.

• Paternity/Maternity DNA testing is a blood test that verifies a parent's or parents' biological link to a kid or children.

• Respiratory Panel: Tests are used to identify a variety of respiratory viral and bacterial diseases, including influenza, respiratory syncytial, mycoplasma, and streptococcus pneumoniae.

• Gastrointestinal Panel Assays: These are multiplex one-step real-time RT PCR assays that simultaneously detect and identify about 15 gastrointestinal pathogens, including Norovirus, Campylobacter spp., Giardia lamblia, E. coli O157, etc.

• HPV detection test using real-time PCR.

• Mycobacterium tuberculosis and 38 mutations linked to drug-resistant tuberculosis are simultaneously detected using the MTB/MDR/XDRe diagnostic method.

• Using DNA recovered from peripheral whole blood, freshly frozen tissue, or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples, BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 gene mutations may be qualitatively detected. A woman is more likely to have ovarian and breast cancer if she carries a variation of the BRCA gene. Additionally, they raise a man's risk of acquiring prostate and male breast cancer.

• Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) Panel.

• You either want to start a family or are pregnant.

• Developmental difficulties affect your child.

• You learn that certain disorders can be handed on via the family.

• You have a genetic predisposition to a number of diseases because of your ethnic origin.

• Finding therapies that work is difficult for you.

• Genetic testing is advised by your doctor.
