Genova Diagnostics

Explore the world of Genova testing.

Introduction

Genova's system-based testing aids clinicians with patient-specific therapy because chronic illnesses are becoming more frequent and are mostly complicated. Some of these tests are highlighted here.
The Rhythm hormone test measures testosterone, progesterone, and estradiol over the course of a complete 28 days. By examining 11 saliva samples collected over the course of 28 days, the hormone imbalances found in this hormone test profile might provide light on the underlying causes of conditions like premenstrual syndrome (PMS), infertility, and irregular menstruation. Estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone imbalances have the following direct effects on women's health:

• Periodic period
• Mood changes
• Sleep habits
• Level of appetite
• Sex desire
The Rhythm PlusTM hormone test measures testosterone, progesterone, and estradiol levels in saliva over the course of a complete 28 days. The Adrenocortex Stress Profile or Cortisol Awakening Response and the Comprehensive Melatonin Profile are also included in this hormone testing profile to show how cortisol, DHEA, and melatonin affect the sex hormones.

Additionally, clinicians have the option of running either the Cortisol Awakening Response Panel or the Adrenal Cortex Stress Profile Panel for further insight, at no additional charge. There will be an extra charge if both are desired.

Hormone imbalances might be the cause of:

• Abnormalities in the menstrual cycle
• Psychological disorders
• Insomnia
• G.I. complains
• Libido
• Fatigue
Using precisely timed salivary samples of the hormones cortisol and DHEA, the Adrenocortex Stress Profile (ASP) evaluates the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis. Unbound, physiologically active parent hormone levels may be easily and painlessly measured by salivary testing. The report provides an understandable visual that shows the findings of the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) and the normal diurnal rhythm, revealing information about the resilience of the HPA axis. There are several diseases linked to malfunctioning of the HPA axis, including

• Hypertension
• Cardiovascular disease
• Immunological and GIT imbalance
• Diabetes-related metabolic syndrome
• Depression
• Cognitive deterioration
• Neurological disease
• Persistent fatigue
